Download and Installation Instructions

• Try these steps first - will work for nearly every web browser.
  1. Click the appropriate download button (Latest Version or Prior Version)
  2. Choose "Run" or "Open" (NOT "Save"), then click the "OK" button to begin the download.
  3. After the download is completed, the installation process begins automatically.
• How do I pick which programs to download?
  • You are downloading a single "setup" file.  During the setup process, you will choose which program (or programs) you would like to install.
• If you are using Microsoft's Internet Explorer
  1. Click the appropriate download button (Latest Version or Prior Version)
  2. Click the "Run" button to begin the download.
     
  3. After the download is completed, you may see a "Security Warning" message.
     Click "Run" to begin the installation.
     
  4. The setup process will begin.
     
• If you are using Netscape or Mozilla
  1. Click the appropriate download button
  2. Choose "Desktop" as the "Save in" location, then click the "Save" button to begin the download.
  3. After the download is completed, click the Medlin shortcut on your desktop to begin the installation.  You may delete the Medlin shortcut from your desktop after the installation
     has been completed.
• AOL and Compuserve customers

• How do I install Medlin on a computer not connected to the Internet?
  • Download to a CD
    • If you download to a CD, you will be creating the same "setup CD" we would have sent you through the mail.
    • Requires one CD - Note:  You may need to "format" your CD so it can be used like a "normal" drive.  Consult your CD burning software's manual for details. For example, if you use Roxio CD software, use their DirectCD utility to format the CD.
      1. Click the appropriate download button
      2. Choose the "Save this program to disk" option, then click the "OK" button.
      3. In the "Save As" window enter d:setup.exe (replace "d" with the appropriate drive letter for your CD) as the "File name", then click the "Save" button.
    • To install from this disk click Start, Run, enter d:setup in the "open" box, then click OK
