Beta Testing

To be a Medlin Software Beta Tester:
- You must be a current registered user of Medlin Accounting Software.
  (This keeps the focus on the new features being tested.)
- You must have e-mail capability, including the ability to receive and open
  file attachments.
While the majority of our beta testing occurs between March and August, you may
join the list of testers any time.

What is a Beta Test?
- A Beta Test is a source other than Medlin tests a new program feature.
  When we test a feature ourselves, it is called an Alpha Test.
There are three ways to beta test a program:
- Safe: Run the new program "side-by-side" with the old program, making the
  same entries into each.
- Normal: Make a backup of your data, then install and use the test program.
- Cliff Diver: Install the new program without making any backups.
