Which Version Do I Install, and When?

Your receipt shows the version number of the program (or programs) you have ordered, right near the "Registration Key".

If you are installing a program (or programs) other than Payroll, simply download and install the appropriate version.

• If you are installing Payroll
  • Changing tax year
    • Take careful note of which tax calculations are included.  DO NOT install the version/revision with the next year's tax calculations until you have entered/created all paychecks for the current year.
  • First Time Customer
    • Install the version shown on your receipt.
  • Ordering the "advance" version of the next year's program
    • If you order Payroll from from roughly September through November, you can download and install the "advance" version of the next year's program.  This version will have all the new features of next year's program, but will still contain the current year's tax calculations.
  • You can always see the tax calculations you are using.  Open Payroll and look at the lower left of the Payroll screen.
  • W-2 and W-3 forms can be printed at any time, including after you have begin working on the next tax year.  All other reports should be printed BEFORE you start the next tax year.
