FUTA Exempt

Checking this box will exclude the employee's wages from federal unemployment calculations.

 

SUTA Exempt

Checking this box will exclude the employee's wages from state unemployment calculations.

 

Soc Sec

Checking this box will exclude the employee's wages from Social Security calculations.

Employees marked as exempt from Social Security will have no Social Security wages on their W-2 form.

 

Medicare

Checking this box will exclude the employee's wages from Medicare calculations.

Employees marked as exempt from Medicare will have no Medicare wages on their W-2 form.

 

Federal WH

Checking this box will exclude the employee's wages from Federal Withholding calculations.

This option simply turns off the federal withholding calculation for the employee.

It is used for those who have a valid W-4 showing exempt status.

 

State WH

Checking this box will exclude the employee's wages from State Withholding calculations.

This option simply turns off the state withholding calculation for the employee.

It is used for those who will have no liability for state tax as selected on their annual W-4 (or state equivalent) form.

 

User Set Deductions

Checking any of these boxes will exclude the employee's wages from the specific deduction's calculations.

 

PTO-A, PTO-B

Checking these boxes will exclude the employee from earning or using PTO.
