Install or Reinstall

Previous Top Next

Medlin Software should be installed and run from a single stand-alone computer.

Medlin Software is not designed, or supported, for use over a network, server, or in any multiple user setup.

Medlin Software will be installed in the default folder (\MWACCT), even if you used a different folder during a previous installation.

The installation drive will be the same drive Windows is installed on - usually 'C'.

Installing or reinstalling Medlin cannot and will not delete any existing data, even if you wanted to or tried to!

If you do not 'see' your data after installation:

Click the Medlin shortcut on your desktop.

Click Search for Data.

Select the desired drive.  Start with 'C', try any others if needed.

Once the search is finished, print the list of folders.

Try each of the folders on the list by opening the desired Medlin program, clicking 'File', then using the Change Data Folder button.

You can move your data into the default folder

If you have one data folder only - Use the Change Data Folder function to access your data in the existing/old folder.

Click the Backup Data button, and backup the data onto removable media.

Use the Change Data function to return to C:\MWACCT.

Click the Restore Data button, and restore the data.

If you have more than one data folder - Use the Change Data Folder function to go to C:\MWACCT.
